The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), or CBD Punjab as it is more often known, is a government-sanctioned organisation tasked with launching eco-friendly, top-down initiatives to revitalise the city. Based on development as economic progress, a preliminary financial feasibility of between PKR 2700B and PKR 3000B has been established, which will result in job opportunities across a wide range of industries. Major commercial activity in the surrounding areas, including the Gulberg neighbourhood, is expected to increase as a result of this development. Five distinct districts—the Commercial Zone, the Digital District, the Residential District, the Entertainment District, and the Government Zone—have been established within the Development, each with its own set of characteristics and dynamics and linked by a network of urban green infrastructure designed by illustrious international architects. Among the many one-of-a-kind attractions of the complex are the History Museum and Jinnah Monument, which detail the fascinating past of the Walton Airport. Botanical Gardens and Green Spaces are included in the concept to complement the green architecture of this one-of-a-kind and contemporary development. As such, the goal of this initiative is to promote Pakistan as a Global Business Area.
